Installing the pressure gauges often require some accesories. Badotherm delivers these accessories such as overpressure protectors or syphons for steam applications. The valves that are used to disconnect a gauge are also manufactured by Badotherm. More on the valves and manifolds can be found in the Manifold & Valves section.
1. Pressure gauge syphons BDT42
Pressure gauge siphons are intended to protect the gauge against the effect of hot
pressure media, such as steam and also to reduce the effect of rapid pressure surges. When first installed the siphon should be filled with water or any other suitable separating fluid.
2. Pressure gauge snubber BDT45
Badotherm pressure gauge snubbers are used to suppress the effect of pulses and
pressure peaks. The flow can be restricted by an adjustable needle valve. The carefully adjusted snubber will considerably increase the life of a pressure gauge at arduous conditions such as found at reciprocating pumps and compressors, hydraulic presses or fluid power systems and will additionally improve the reading of the gauge.
3. Pressure gauge overpressure protectors BDT48
Adjustable overpressure protectors are used to protect pressure gauges and sensors against the effects of pressures exceeding their maximum rating. They allow low pressures to be measured with great accuracy by a gauge whose rating is less than the maximum pressure that could occur in the process, and without damaging the gauge by too high a pressure. Each protector is adjusted to the maximum permissible pressure that the gauge to which it is fitted will withstand, and will automatically shut off the gauge if this pressure is exceeded.
The valve will remain closed until the system drops approx 30% below the closing pressure, where upon the force of the spring will open the valve.
